Presentation

Creator of the dreamlike postmodern world, Jean-François Rauzier questions the future of our inheritance through his photos.

His Hyperphotos are made up of several thousands of snapshots, works filled with art history and popular culture references.

Known as the "re-enchanter of reality" by his peers, he pursued an international career. His works are displayed in several institutions especially the MOMA in Moscow, The Annenberg foundation in Los Angeles and the Palais des Beaux-Arts de Lille.

He is also present in prestigious contemporary art collections such as the Louis Vuitton collection and won the Arcimboldo prize.

The artist lives and works in Paris.

City Never Sleeps is created through a collaboration between Jean-François Rauzier and the American rapper Beat Assailant. As a 360° digital performance, the work won over the public during the rapper's last Parisian concert at the Gaité Lyrique.

Since his stroll in New York, Jean-François Rauzier has been relentlessly striding along the large urban areas around the world. After China, Amsterdam, Rio and Brasilia, he layed down his hat in Lille and presented his stroll in Detroit, through a 160 meters long immersive and interactive installation, during Lille 3000 at the Gare Saint-Sauveur until the 17th January.
