Biography
Louis Thomas is a portrait painter living and working mainly in Paris. He has been painting people since he was a child, it is his main interest in life.
Since he graduated from Gobelins Paris and Calarts Los Angeles in 2013, he receives people every week in his workshop, each one as different as the next. He is as interested in what they say as in how they look.
He never works from photos and paints his models either on cardboard with gouaches or with oil on canvas. The gouaches allow him to paint someone in an afternoon because they dry quickly, which is usually time spent with the model.
