Éric Mercier Sevin was born in Paris in 1948. He was interested in painting from his adolescence.
His first works date from 1970 but this self-taught artist has been painting in a more important way since 2004. He works in abstract art as a colourist just like Bazaine, Zao Wou-Ki, Bram Van Velde, Jorn, Monet, Delaunay, Mitchell, De Staël, De Kooning.
He first paints oils then pastels and finally tackles acrylic paint.
The arts and humanities are his main readings. He considers music naturally as the supreme art.
This painter has exhibited his works on various occasions: in 2002, 2008 and 2015 at the Maison du Citoy et de la vie associative de Fontenay-sous-Bois. He also exhibited his works at the Concept Store Gallery in Paris and La Baule throughout 2018. He was also selected to exhibit at the Parc Floral de Vincennes as part of the Cercle des artistes de Paris.
