Presentation

Painting, creating new representations is for me an "inner necessity" as Vassily Kandinsky* said so well. It's me and at the same time it's beyond me. Bigger. Mysterious.

The material holds a special place in my creations. I paint on wood that needs its robustness and reliability. On the other hand, I use very old paper. It is for me a work of memory that is played out there: these writings, witnesses of events and past lives become the support of my painting. Unconscious heritage or roots to find ... whatever, I seize it and transform it during my elaboration. These papers then lose their original appearance, they are there but otherwise. There remains a trace, even an imprint.

"Human" is my favorite theme. I am looking for a face, a gesture, a look ... Answers perhaps to the enigmas which constitute us.
