Tatiana Matveieff

Tatiana grew up and evolved in an environment driven by artistic creation and aesthetics, with a graphic designer mother in advertising, and a grandmother who was a model maker for the great couturiers.

After studying communication, she also began her journey in Paris in the somewhat crazy and hectic world of advertising, as a producer (publishing, press, posters and television).

Cradled by the Image in all its forms, she has always had an attraction for paper as a material. "I like its touch, its softness sometimes, its fragility but above all its multiple possibilities to be transformed, folded, crumpled, illuminated ..."

She leaves Paris, to settle in the south of France.

She focuses on things she loves such as decoration, always punctuated by a graphic research, lines and curves, but also contrasts.
She finds this inspiration everywhere, in nature, roads, architecture ...

"It is the taste for all these combinations of geometry that certainly led me one day to buy a ream of white tissue paper, which I cut, folded, then assembled until I made my first lamp."
It is all the poetry of the paper which is then highlighted.

Then, wanting to give volume to a sheet of pretty grain paper, she drew small cutouts on it, which she then folded up. Then she continued ...

More than a support, paper becomes a material and is sufficient on its own.
The possibilities are endless, and that's what it presents today.
