Presentation

Born in 1965 in Bordeaux where she spent the first part of her life, Nathalie Camoin-Chanet from an early age built around the plastic arts her real reason for living. As soon as she can, she becomes a pupil of the sculptor Séraphin Beneitez, whom she convinces to transmit to her the art and techniques of fundamental stonework.

From 1990 she devoted herself fully to sculpture. She moved to Paris to shape her style beyond hard-won academic values, inspired by her mentors: Brancusi, Moore, Arp, Archipenko, her style asserted itself.

She exhibits in many renowned artistic fairs, galleries, obtains numerous distinctions, articles in the press and television appearances.

Her sculptures are both fine and powerful, revealing a subtle mastery of undulating lines. Suspended between representation and deconstruction, Nathalie Camoin-Chanet's sculpture is at the crossroads of two influences which allow works with clean lines to flourish towards an abstractive dynamic.

But insatiable, curious and enterprising, Nathalie dreams of a large format to allow her works to express themselves fully. The discovery, then the mastery of composite materials, frees her and allows her to project her aerial visions which most often lead her to exhibit outdoors. Her works become monumental, which she likes to see resonate with the outside.
