Evelyne Toussaint

Born in Toulouse, it is still in this region that I currently live and in which I build my artistic life.

Passionate about drawing since childhood, I tried my hand at several artistic techniques, such as pastel, acrylic or ink.

Self-taught, it is the attendance of workshops of recognized artists, such as Gérard Lartigue (sculptor), Gérard Jan (painter and engraver) or even Phil Brown (English painter) who have developed my technique and influenced my creativity.

For several years, I have continued my artistic journey alone in my studio where I am gradually learning collages, monotypes, some of which are reworked using digital art.

A deep need for a relationship with matter quickly imposed itself on me and working with the earth was a real revelation: truncated, broken busts or timid, fragile pieces ...

My sculptures are not made from a model but from a personal feeling.

Breathe a touch of life. Little delicate stories.

My painted faces can be intriguing or on the contrary melancholy, serene.

In all humility, I wish to be an artist who knows what to hear from others, while seeking to discover what our memory keeps, what happens to our wounds.
