Loic Allemand

Loic in his work, uncovers the beauty of daily life and the human form which for him is made more beautiful by the marks left on it by strong emotions and the vagaries of fate. He is a painter of the complex daily stories and struggles which take in the house, streets, and bars of the big city, of a life which in his own words is “above all serious and profound, but never hopeless." 

The characters he paints tend to be reflective, absorbed in their own thoughts, unconsciously showing a wide range of emotions which are richly evoked by the almost transparent veils of paint and ink with which Loic builds up his canvases.
