Fakhri Bismanto Bohang is an Indonesian artist born in 1988. He has been living and working in Köln Germany since 2012. Fakhri is a self-taught painter who focuses on figurative paintings. His main interest is to observe the possibility of painting amidst the digital age of photography.
Fakhri Bohang is heavily influenced by baroque portrait painters such as Velasquez and Zurbaran as well as photo-realistic portraiture such as Franz Gertsch and Gerhard Richter.
His works were exhibited in 2016 at the "Royal Society for Portrait Painters" at the Mall Galleries in London, Modern Art museum in Barcelona in 2015, in Brühl 2014, not to mention the Red House in Sofia, Bulgaria, in 2013.
