Luciano Frigerio (1928–1999). Frigerio was an Italian designer, artist and musician. Over the years he has collaborated with famous Italian architects and designers, including Franco Albini, Sergio Asti and Paolo Portoghesi. Luciano Frigerio led the design of the furniture according to artisan specifications, with unique numbered series. This philosophy led the company from the 1970s to the 1990s when it opened ten showrooms in the main Italian cities. The showroom in via Montenapoleone in Milan, in particular, was the finest venue that combined haute couture designers with artisan tailors. Many pieces of furniture and objects designed by Frigerio are present in important Italian and foreign art galleries.
