"All of Luca's work seems to take place and develop within this incessant dialectic of body and time. Observing his work carefully, even within different cycles of works, this appears absolutely clear: the theme is always, obsessively, the body-time relationship through the signs that this relationship necessarily leaves behind. In the series of "casts" of whole bodies or individual anatomical parts, with their surface cracked as if from an irremediable drought, the fundamental theme at times acquires a monumental evidence of its own and this amplifies even more the same profound impression of being faced with to transfigured memories of what was once alive and real, but which is now nothing but a testimony, a footprint, a faithful imprint, in short, a "print", a sign of the times".

Presentation
(1982, Bologna, Italy). He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, specializing in painting. Throughout his career, he has conducted research focused on the otherness of the human figure and on personal and collective memory, using plaster casts as his medium.
He has participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions in Italy and the rest of Europe, including, in recent years: the 51st Campigna Prize at the Vero Stoppioni Gallery of Contemporary Art in Santa Sofia; Open 12, International Exhibition of Sculptures and Installations on the Island of San Servolo in Venice in 2009; and in 2011, he won the first edition of OPERA / Fabbrica at the Cloister of the Oriani Library in Ravenna.
In 2015, he was selected as a finalist in the 59th International Ceramics Prize in Faenza, and in 2017 he was invited to Korea for the Gyeonggi International Ceramics Biennial. He also received an honorable mention at the 39th International Exhibition and Competition of Ceramic Art in Gualdo Tadino, Perugia, Italy, in 2017.
Some of his works have won national awards and have been acquired by Italian and Spanish public collections.
He lives and works in Meldola.
