All of Thibault Messac's work stems from a reflection around the idea of shapelessness, deformation, alteration, thus creating a feeling of disturbing strangeness. His way of working is similar to an almost scientific work where the artist analyzes, observes, studies his subject meticulously, to try to understand it, to then play with it and try to inoculate it with this curious feeling. It is by manipulating this body, this raw material, that Thibault Messac's work takes shape.
