

Biography
Amédée Buffet, born in Paris 2ᵉ on July 30, 1869, and died in Paris 6ᵉ on October 30, 1933, is a French painter.
Student of the painter Tony Robert-Fleury and of the sculptor and medalist Hippolyte Jules Lefèbvre Amédée Buffet is the younger brother of the abbot and orientalist painter Paul Buffet He exhibited in 1894 at the Salon of French artists and that year obtained a medal of honor then a 2nd class medal in 1899, the year in which he was put out of competition.
He then became a member of the jury of the Society of French Artists. In 1903, he received, with his brother Paul, an order from the Carthusians to produce four paintings to replace those of Goya destroyed at the Carthusian monastery of Aula Dei in Zaragoza, Spain.
