Biography
Alain Le Boucher is a French sculptor known as a "light" sculptor, who was born in 1950 in Paimpol. He graduated from the Institute of Art of Aix en Provence in 1976. He currently lives and works in Normandy.
In 1982, he did his first sculpture of light, named the "Luchrones". To his delight, with the creation of this piece, he discovered that it was possible to sculpt light, to give it shape and to treat it like he will treat other material. The only frustaion he had was the fact that he was not able to touch it..
Alain Le Boucher's sculptures are lightweight and transparent, poetic and fascinating. Light acts on the sculpture over time, transforming it every minute.
