Masha Schmidt is a Russian painter born in 1968.
She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts of Moscou before attending the Superior School of Fine Arts of Paris and the Faculty of Plastic Arts of the Sorbonne where she specialized in engraving.
Masha Schmidt is a multidisciplinary artist who does not likes to limit herself to a single artistic practice, she likes experiment with all the media that come her way, from painting to engraving, as well as scenography and decoration.
However, painting remains the center of her creations, For a couple of years, she devoted herself to the composition of her canvases based on her observations on nature, natural phenomena and their multiplicity.
Masha Schmidt’s work is frequently exhibited in France, particularly in Paris, where she currently lives and works.
