Unplanned Decisions
Presented in Paris, Alex Kuznetsov’s exhibition Unplanned Decisions explores the infinite potential of abstract painting through an intuitive and spontaneous process. Inspired by the gestural energy of Georges Mathieu and the material mastery of Pierre Soulages, Kuznetsov establishes a dialogue between the legacy of post-war French abstraction and a contemporary vision of art. Each work is born from a series of unplanned choices, where gestures, textures and compositions evolve organically, translating a tension between control and the unexpected.
In an increasingly structured and results-oriented world, Kuznetsov’s approach recalls the importance of improvisation and creativity in the unexpected. By valuing the act of discovery rather than predefined results, his art invites us to reflect on the adaptability and beauty of the present moment. Unplanned Decisions celebrates the freedom of instinct, offering an experience that is both rooted in Parisian artistic heritage and deeply relevant to our times.
