Cátia Goffinet is a Brazilian artist born in 1973 in the city of São Paulo.
Her art is immersed in geometric lines combined with mathematical concepts where she works with extremely calculated paintings and at the same time likes the idea of transforming her geometric works into organic movements.
The theme of her paintings varies between the concept of Time, Parallel Universes, Multiverses, on Energy as a concept of Creation and as a force that moves life.
She works with acrylic on canvas and mainly with overlapping layers of paint forming a certain idea of movement and depth.
Sometimes each job has hundreds of overlapping layers. This translates a bit of the idea that everything in the universe happens at the same time.
