Venelin Fotev

Venelin Fotev was born in 1967 in Burgas, Bulgaria.  

In 1998 he graduated The National Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia, department of Mural Painting. Member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists and the International Association of Fine Art IAA (UNESCO).

Venelin Fotev is a master of landscapes. Things, seen and experienced are mixed with imagination and fantasy in a kaleidoscope of perceptions to become strange, but profound works. Simbolic in nature, the artist seems to be playing with colors and the idea to make us thing that in our breathless technocratic day there is a “forgotten" beauty. These works are filled with emotions, nostalgia, something sacred national and their presence in our modern home would bring warmth and comfort. Through contrast and color, Venelin Fotev achieves a magical perception by the language of symbolism.
