Biography
Artist Statement:
The cacophony of mass media informs Canadian artist Jeff Rosen's explosive free-associative style. His category-defying paintings capture impressions of sound bites and meditations on the nature of cultural consciousness - often revealing faces, figures, animals, totems, and non-existent entities. His works are available at Elaine Fleck Gallery, Toronto and St Laurent+Hill, Ottawa, and included in private collections in Canada, Germany, and the USA. A native of Montreal, Jeff is both a painter, and award-winning creator, writer, and music composer of numerous hit international children's television series. Jeff was the founding creative partner of WildBrain, a global children's content and brands company, recognized for such high-profile properties as Peanuts, Teletubbies, and Inspector Gadget.
Jeff lives in Halifax, Nova Scotia with his wife and vampire poodle, Vlad.
