Madeleine Lemire

Madeleine Lemire lives and works in the Eastern Townships of Quebec. Each year, she divides her time between her studio at the Richmond Art Centre and a country where she finds warmth and light, whether in Provence, Guatemala or Mexico.

In Paris, she studied at the Ecole du Louvre; in Montreal, she trained at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts and the Saidye-Bronfman Arts Centre. 
She has had several solo exhibitions in the country and has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Canada, the United States, Mexico and Europe. Her works can be found in several collections.
In 1996, Madeleine Lemire was elected a member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts.
