Biography
Lamps from Chile is a collaborative project of contemporary Chilean craftsmanship and design, formed by designers Paula Corrales, Mitsue Kido and artisan Pilar Véjar. This project aims to maintain the traditions and production processes of craftsmanship, in particular the horsehair weaving of the community of the village of Rari, through the design of pieces of contemporary design.
For their first collection, they collaborated with 5 communities of artisans in the Maule region: Pita de Teno, Coirón de Uraco, Crin de Rari, Piedra Toba de Quinamávida and Greda Blanca de Vichuquén.
