
Biography
Alain Kleinmann was born in 1953 in Paris where he lives and works. More than a hundred personal exhibitions have been devoted to him by galleries, museums and contemporary art centers in many countries (Europe, USA, South America, Asia, Africa).
His work is present in most international art fairs: FIAC (Paris), Art-Paris, New-York Art Pair (USA), Art Miami (USA), Istanbul Art Pair, Art Jonction (Nice), St ' Art (Strasbourg), Linéart (Grand-Belgique) ...
About ten monographs have appeared on his work including texts from Aragon, Marcel Marceau, André Glucksmann, Elie Wiesel, Vladimir Yankelevitch, Ivry Giltis, Georges Moustaki, Hastaire, Martin Gray, Richard Dembo, Pierre Restany ...
He is the author of the book “Painting and other places” (Editions Dima 2002), and has produced sets for the theater (Théâtre la Bruyère, Maisons des Arts de Créteil) and multiple book covers.
Several films and university theses have been devoted to his work. He is also co-founder with Hastaire of Groupe Mémoire (Kleinmann, Hastaire, Kuper, Zaborov, Vaughn-James, Aryckx, Diaz Galvez ...) -
