As a visual artist, paper is my preferred medium of expression. Paper as material and paper as bearer of meaning, raw paper and printed paper, paper that gives form to image and text, old paper, modern paper, old paper that becomes modern in the process of creation.

For many years now, I've been working on documents and archives as a way of exploring and staging my two favourite themes: the space of the world and the space of language - since we think of the world in terms of words, it's fair to say that one can't exist without the other.

I'm particularly interested in cartographic documents and the pages of books. I see, I look for, I project a movement, literally and figuratively, an emotion, a story.

figurative sense, an emotion, a story that is intimate and subjective and that I transcribe visually.

I cut, assemble, superimpose, add and subtract. I mix sources and materials, and divert what already exists. I like the idea of simplicity of gesture, of attention, of economy of means, of recycling.
