His work is a construction game made of combination experiments that works through displacement and the use of signs and indices. Earth is his favorite material.
Until 2009, Hélène Delépine studied ceramics at the École Supérieure des Métiers d'Arts in Arras. She continued her studies in design and art at the École Nationale Supérieure d'Art in Limoges, from which she graduated in 2013. After several years spent in Limousin, she moved to Nantes, where she has lived and worked since 2018. Her pieces are regularly exhibited in France, in art centers, galleries and contemporary art spaces. In 2021, her works were shown in a monographic exhibition at the Abbaye Saint-André, a contemporary art center in Meymac. The artist was invited by the FRAC des Pays-de-la-Loire, the department of Maine-et-Loire and the Commune of Loire-Authion for a residency and a solo exhibition at the Hors-Champ gallery in 2022. Hélène Delépine was part of the Entre les murs residency program at the Abbaye Royale de Fontevraud. Her project, Une architecture funéraire monumentale, was presented in the abbey gardens during the summer of 2023. In the fall of 2024, the artist was invited by the contemporary art center Le MAT to present her work as part of a traveling exhibition in three municipalities in the north of the Loire-Atlantique department.
