Biography
In 2020, a year that is special in its current events, I find myself isolated at home like a large part of the international community. Time stands still, a freeze frame, a pause in the frenzy of everyday life. It is at this moment that I take the time to listen to my desire for painting, colors and sharing with the canvas.
My beginnings are colorful abstracts… between the discovery of materials and certain techniques, I create many abstract paintings in my living room. I learn on the networks how to stretch a canvas, assemble a frame with the help of handyman friends, play with mediums, do pouring and so on. My collection of paint tubes begins to become quite impressive. Then life resumes its course but with the presence of a new passion.
I continued to paint, mainly at night. After a few attempts, my first portrait came to life, then two… Have you ever looked at a face? A set of marked or light shadows, the continuous gradation at the corner of the lips, the texture of a skin, the expression that changes according to a fold under the eye. Modestly I embark on this path. Acrylic, oil pastel, charcoal, pencils, felt-tip pens and many colors. Colors applied mainly with a knife but expression is not limited to a technique, it travels through the field of possibilities, so I paint with everything that comes to hand. Speaking of hands, my fingers are my best brushes, my hands full of colors are my most beautiful manicure.
