Miss Van

Miss Van started painting in the street at the age of 18, in the early 1990s. Her innovative style is new in urban art, traditionally dominated by men.

Her work is exhibited today in the entire world, from Paris to New York, Los Angeles, Barcelona or Manila. The currents that have influenced her practice range from free figuration, to 1950s pin-up style, Vaughn Bodé's comics or religious imagery.

Her work has evolved over time. Her lines became more refined and the drawings more detailed. The stylized "dolls" she used to paint in the beginning of her career have become more realistic, darker and more expressive.
