Serge Labégorre, born in 1932 near Bordeaux, is one of the most important painters of the French contemporary expressionism. Serge Labégorre lives and works in Grionde, France, close to Libourne. He has had numerous shows since 1956 in Bordeaux, Toulouse, Pau, Paris, but also in Porto, New York, San Francisco.
The stepping stone for his career, which allowed him to dedicate himself to painting full time was his collaboration with a British gallery that started in 1966.
Numerous collectors have been supporting Serge Labégorre during his career. His portraits, in which dark reds and dark greens burst on black backgrounds, are exhibited in many museums in Paris, Bordeaux, Brussels, Geneva, London, Tokyo, New-York and San Francisco.
