Biography
Renk followed in his father's footsteps, he was both a publicist and a visual artist, Renk quickly realized that art and brand could go hand in hand. Born in Rennes in 1987, he combined these two ideas through graffiti. His journey began in his hometown, where metro and street became the artist's medium. He didn't identify himself with the school system, therefore he left for Cork in Ireland, where his passion for spray paint intensified. He was discovered by a Parisian gallery in 2012, he moved from street to canvas, and hasn't left Paris since then.
His paintings are a paradox in itself. In his first stage of creation, they are the end result of a tireless repetition of his "blaze", his signature. In the second, the inscription almost vanishes under the acrylic layers of the artist, portraying timeless twilight like landscapes. The colors look decomposed, creating a misty effect, a feeling of harmony. Renk questions the relationship with oneself, in a subtle and aesthetic manner.
Renk's work has been publicly acclaimed, not only by galleries but also major brands, like the prestigious leather brand Pome, the Citadium sign, not to mention Danone and Evian, who called upon his services and placed orders.
His creations have been exhibited at the Urban art fair in Paris, but also Switzerland and England, a proof that the artist is on his way to achieving European fame.
