Biography
Lou Ros is a 28-year old young man who began to paint at the the age of 17. He started by bombing the walls of buildings with his friends. The game became quickly an addiction. From the simple and spontaneous tags from the beginning, he evolved to mural paintings.
He learned to paint without going to any art school, but he started to feel the limits of street art and he acknowledges himself that "there is an ethic of the aesthetics of the beautiful and of the repetition which has ended up by getting me bored. Making a nice painting is boring, but producing a painting which has power is quite another thing. So I started to paint at home."
Going back home allowed him to enrich his reflection and his painting practice with an emphasis on attitude searching for the truth and a more fundamental quest in his painting: "the living vibrant stroke instead of the beautiful and clean one".
His paintings are the representations of the visible world and of his own inner world. Thanks to his magic brush, the colors are exploding and dancing with voluptuousness and passion as the movements and contortions of a dancer. In this pictorial choreography, we witness an explosive drama of radiant vibrant colors.
