Born in 1975, Baptiste Léonne is a French painter/photograph. He lives and works in Paris.
He trained as a musician and created his first photos during his tours. He captured every single moment of life therefore is self-taught.
Through a very personal style, the artist addresses the theme of woman in an intense and poetic manner. He wants to fix the gaze of these women, to bring out pure and direct emotion. For this, Baptiste Léonne uses light which is heightened in his black and white series. He displays a wonderful mix between immediate beauty and nostalgia, of a woman who seems to have taken off.
