Biography
Daniel Viéné is a self-taught designer. It belongs to the artistic movement of singular art. He himself affirmed that his art wanted to be free and unique: "I play the painter as a child plays the fireman, with pleasure and with seriousness". His very colorful works represent characters and portraits. They evoke the world of childhood, happiness and call for good humor.
He works with different types of media such as cotton canvas, cardboard, paper, wood, glass or fabric.
He exhibited in many European cities such as Brussels, Antwerp, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Luxembourg, Montreux, Lausanne, Berlin, Göteborg and Paris.
In 2007, a book was published on his work, L'Art au singulier. This is the first book in the collection L'art au singulier by Editions Coprur.
Several European galleries hold his works.
