Biography
Mabris is a native French Female painter from Nantes, where she lives, paints, sculpts and writes poetry. She has been taught at the Beaux-Arts in Nantes and was perfected with renowned artists.
Mabris is an artist whose practice is a rhythmic quest. Her painting, calligraphied vigorously, is a kind of intimate choreography and lyrical removed with brushing.
Inspired by color, form and matter, nothing is superfluous for Mabris and everything takes on a special light. She offers us a musical score that is both powerful and sunny, structured and poetic that stirs and turns to infinity.
Her painting is the witness of her language. We walk in, we listen her silences, we hear her screams, her sweet words whispered and joys expressed.
...A colorful whirlwind that suspends time for the pleasure of a moment.

Zorica B. Djordjevic , BA in art history , painter and art critic :
It is often difficult to define the motivations that guide the creativity of an artist in a certain direction.
In the diversity offered by the abstract expression, Mabris insists on the experience and the experimentation.
Her painting is not only experienced via sensations but it is also completed by the intellectual depth.
By analyzing with a lot of care the composition of all her paintings, we can observe that for each of them, it is the work of the light that dominates, so diagonally as vertically.
There are four additional elements which give meaning and quality to each of the Mabris's works:
The treatment of colors and lines of the background: she abandons colors themselves there to represent the sensations,
The powerful brightness which she gives to colors, at the same time wild and tamed,
The rhythm and the power which she develops to install colors on her canvas, they define as well the order and the way they are applied,
Finally, the use of the "monumental" to represent the inner strength and the abstraction to model it began at Lascaux and Altamira. Mabris, with her wide spectre of abstract expression reminds us there! But we can also assert that her art style is "contemporary": her expression is strong, unique and has a line of expressionism!
We want as well to mention, to conclude, that Mabris explained us that she began every work without choosing an idea or a theme, but only guided by her feelings, by her inner impulses.
Created by carefully combining chromatic relations, the works of Mabris give a big impression of freedom and appear as unlimited spaces.
