Eric Chambon was born in 1962 in Perpignan; after having created costumes for shows all over France for 32 years, his varied artistic career ranging from floral art, lyrical singing and comedy led him to sculpture which became passion. He then devoted himself entirely to the profession of sculptor.
Eric Chambon is a storyteller: with earth, sandstone or bronze, he tells us about ancient myths, the Mystery of the monks and their quest for knowledge, the stories and ancestral popular traditions of his country of origin, Catalonia.
His portraits are inspired by the history of men, their ethnic origins; animal sculpture is often linked to mythology, like the Trojan horse ...
He won many prizes including gold medals in various salons: Vermeil Medal of Arts-Sciences and Letters in Paris, Grand Prix du Jury de Barbizon de l'Académie Boitiat, Grand Prix de sculpture Arts-Sciences et Lettres A Paris 2018, Grand Prix de l'Académie de Villefranche sur Saône, Grand Prix de sculpture at the Salon du GAB 2018, he won Grand Prix de sculpture de Haute Loire in 2017, Member of the Société des Beaux Arts de Lyon, of the GAB (grouping of Artists in Beaujolais), Gold medals: winter in Lyon, Pont de Cheruy salon, Academy of Macon, Brindas, Chaponost (69).
