Biography

Rachelle Cunningham is a young multi disciplinary artist who has already been interviewed in Vogue, Grazia, Elle, Marie Claire & Cosmopolitan magazine for her work. She currently lives in Paris France, originally from Dublin Ireland. Graduated with a bachelors of Art, Media & Technology from Parsons the New School & represented by Personae Consilium.

She began painting at 15 drawing from realms imagined, she moved a lot growing up and found comfort in her imagination. Always an admire of the flare of theatre she joined the circus, performed in plays and danced for shows. Her love for characters, costumes and creating other worlds became a catalyst for her artistic venture into University. Where she began writing stories and painting the scenes, animating them, designing the textiles to go with it, creating set designs out of nature juxtaposing the intangible with the tangible. Her style plays with the romantic movement through a gaze of a semi gothic reinvigoration of the renaissance period. Most known for her velvety hues, delicate details and féminine touch. She tries to encapsulate the beauty still to the found within the cracks of our society, unearth its magic.

Rachelle works on personalized paintings for private clients, offers online painting courses for beginners, as well as works for magazines & brands such as Marie Claire Magazine (in collab with Dolce & Gabbana/ Dior/ Marc Jacobs), Grazia Magazine (in collab with Dior), Zalando, Fete Imperial, Overhead NY etc.
