Frédéric Lauvaud was born in France in 1962. A decorator by profession, he evolved in the world of cinema, theater and photo studios. In 2001, he changed gears and tried out sculpture.
The artist immerses us into a very personal universe, and is extremely attached to childhood. He disassembles, rebuilds, welds, just like a child with his toys, but with great technical expertise. Frédéric Lavaud works with metal, an imposing material and manages to make it light, aerial, playing around with weightlessness. His constructions evolve and are always taken up a notch, evoking danger, vertigo, adventure but also calm and harmony.
Frédéric Lavaud exhibits his subtle yet light works in galleries around France.
