Biography
Born in Paris in 1995, Caphar is a French artist who discovered painting at the age of 22 during a live painting of the artists BEBAR and KHAN.
Completely self-taught, he bought his first brushes the day after the event to paint frescoes on the entire walls of his room. Then, six months later, he became an editor for the Urban Art Paris web magazine and started to paint his first murals for various events.
The following year, he flew to Mexico, the promised land of Street Art, where he joined the Tlatoa collective with whom he participated in several small projects. He then gets his first solo show "Round out the angles" at the Lavamp Store in the heart of Mexico City and will paint several murals all over the country.
In 2019, he challenges himself to cross Central America without money by painting murals wherever he goes in exchange for food and lodging. Challenge taken up, since this trip led him to realize more than 10 frescos between Mexico, Guatemala and Nicaragua before being blocked in Colombia for health reasons.
Very influenced by his travels and the places where he lives, he starts working in his studio again when he returns to France and tries to reconcile the colors and the madness of Latin America with the much more urban and modern European aesthetic.
