Rechel Rodham Oppong

Rechel Rodham Oppong, an emerging artist from Accra, Ghana, specializes in portraiture and primarily works with acrylics. Raised in Ghana, she pursued her passion for art at Belgorod State Technology University in Russia, where she studied Art Design. Her work is deeply influenced by an exploration of human emotion and expression, focusing on how these elements are perceived and interpreted by others.

Driven by a keen interest in the human experience, Rechel has also participated in a female artist mentorship program at AFAMP Nigeria, which has further refined her artistic practice. Her work has garnered significant recognition, including being shortlisted for the 2023 Kuenyehia Prize for Contemporary Arts in Accra. Additionally, her pieces have attracted attention from art collectors and enthusiasts, finding their way into prominent private collections across Uganda and beyond.

Through her art, Rechel continues to captivate audiences with her insightful exploration of identity, emotion, and the subtleties of human expression.
