Nikki Floran

Nikki Floran is a young, emerging sculptor on the contemporary art scene, renowned for his innovative technique of embedding iconic objects in resin. Born in Milan in 1995 and raised around the world, Floràn captures and immortalizes time through works that blend art and history, creating pieces that challenge the perception of time and memory.

Since childhood, Nikki Floràn has shown a deep passion for art and experimentation with different materials. After completing high school, he attended the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), where he developed his interest in resin sculptures. During his university career, he perfected his technique and began exploring the idea of stopping time by incorporating objects of cultural and personal significance into his sculptures.

His work is distinguished by his ability to capture the essence of iconic objects, freezing them over time through the use of transparent resin. His sculptures not only celebrate the beauty of the objects they incorporate, but also invite the viewer to reflect on their historical and cultural relevance. Floràn's works encompass a wide range of objects, from vintage toys and Campari bottles (designed in 1932 by the futurist Fortunato Depero) to obsolete technological devices and glass Coca-Cola bottles, each chosen for its symbolic value. Each piece is a testament to the passage of time, offering a new perspective on the relationship between art and memory.
