Biography
Vincenzo Monti (Pollenza, Macerata, 1908-1981)
Vincenzo Monti was an Italian painter opened to suggestions of a naturalism moderated by expressionist influences and flashes of abstract art. An arduous supporter of color as the fundamental value of art and a highly expressive element, particularly of the red with which he molded from landscapes imbued of light and shadows to female nudes, portraits and figures. He taught at the Macerata Academy of Fine Arts and many of his works are in public collections in Italy and abroad.
