The reason for using household dust lies in its composition. Each particle that forms it comes from both organic remains, such as skin and hair of the people who live there; as well as inorganic remains of the objects we have in our homes: fibers from carpets, clothes and other textiles, dirt dragged from the street under our shoes, environmental pollution, etc.
The aim is to recover in some way the inexorable passage of time that dust represents and to model it in search of an authentic representation, at the same time presentation and representation, with the use of portraiture and photographs (to bring to the present both people and their memories) and make these people present, through the remains that remain of them.
Dust is thus converted into an essential metaphor for destruction, the passage of time and ruin. The trigger to make the viewer see that they are living and breathing memory; that its footprints mix with so many others already past, in an eternal echo.
