Biography
Born in Barcelona in 1975, Samuel Salcedo studied Fine Arts at the Bellas Artes de Barcelona and the Manchester University of Fine Arts.
Samuel Salcedo alternates painting with sculpture. During some years, he worked with Jaume Plensa, one of the leading contemporary spanish sculptors. In his sculptures, he uses mainly plastic derivates ( polyester...) taking advantage of its extraordinary imitative capacity of textures, shapes and tonalities, to reach extreme facial and corporal expressions.
