

Biography
Vaudois artist born in 1888, he was very active in Paris during the interwar period marked by futurism and then purism.
His father Auguste Buchet, amateur painter, regent (teacher) in the village of Etoy in 1872, founded the Asiles à Etoy, which later became in 1962 a foundation recognized as being of public utility under the name of The Institution of Hope, specialized institution for disabled people. The Institution has five works by Gustave Buchet and the commune of Etoy, a self-portrait. Gustave Buchet exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants in 1927.
