David Wenzel

Biography

David Wenzel was born on November 22, 1950. Although he dreamed of working in animation, his first drawing jobs were for advertising. However, he quickly left this world for that of comics. In the 1970s, after a few strips at DC Comics, he worked at Marvel Comics and drew several episodes of The Avengers including those of the Korvac Saga which won an Eagle Award. Then he was the artist for the adaptation of Solomon Kane. He also worked on several episodes of Marvel Team-Up. He then returned to DC Comics where he is responsible for the graphic novel Warlords on a script by Steve Skeates 1 . In 1989, he drew the adaptation of The Hobbit on a script by Chuck Dixon published by Eclipse Comics.
