Biography

Asya Shalimova was born in Tula, Russia. After completing her secondary and higher art education, she further honed her skills by studying various glassworking techniques at the renowned crystal workshops in Nikolsk.

Asya's primary artistic mediums are glass and watercolor. Her creative approach combines contemporary illustration with motifs of Slavic script and ornamentation, while also exploring the interplay of textures, volumes, and materials. This unique synthesis defines her distinctive artistic style.

A member of the creative union of contemporary artists in Tula, Art Group 6/57, Asya actively participates in group exhibitions, symposiums, and festivals. Her works are part of private collections and are also housed in the Glass and Crystal Museum in Nikolsk.
