Miguel Nunez Rauschert

Miguel Nuñez Rauschert was born in Montevideo (Uruguay) in 1954. He began to paint very early in the Visual Arts workshop in Montevideo. At 19, he left for Buenos Aires and La Plata (Argentina), to continue his studies in Fine Arts: nine years of training during which he began to exhibit solo or in groups.

He moved to Paris at the end of 1982, a mythical city where he led a parallel journey between painting and teaching plastic arts at the Workshops of the Museum of Decorative Arts.

He exhibits in France and beyond: Madrid, London, Miami, Washington, Beirut.

In 1996, he exhibited once again in Buenos Aires at the Recoleta Cultural Center, one of the richest and most dynamic cultural places in the capital and, at the same time, he presented his works at the Praxis Gallery (Buenos Aires).

In 2002, he was invited to exhibit for the first time in Montevideo, his hometown, by the Ministry of Education and Culture.

In 2003, he participated in the international art fair: Art Miami with the Dialogue gallery.

In 2007, he had his first solo exhibition in London, at the Cervantes Institute.
