Neoespressionismo
La trans-avanguardia in Italia. I nuovi Fauves in Germania. Emerso in reazione agli stili altamente concettualizzati e minimalisti che avevano dominato gli anni '70, il Neo -L'arte espressionista è cresciuta in modo significativo negli Stati Uniti, in Germania e in Italia, come rinascita contemporanea del modo di fare le cose espressionista.
Questo stile è caratterizzato da un ritorno radicale all'arte figurativa e sensuale, a rappresentazioni visive degli oggetti più riconoscibili e all'uso molto espressivo del color che testimonia la decadenza e il consumismo del mondo dell'arte del dopoguerra. Pennellate altamente strutturate e narrazioni emotive sono al centro di questo movimento.
Le opere di Julian Schnabel, < a href="https://www.artsper.com/gr/artisti-contemporanei/stati-uniti/22084/david-salle">David Salle, Eric Fischl e Jean-Michel Basquiat sono stati spesso strettamente associati alla proliferazione dello stile neoespressionista negli Stati Uniti. I loro esperimenti materici, le loro fotografie comunicative e il loro uso audace del colore e la narrativa ci offrono oggi una visione essenziale della traiettoria artistica contemporanea che seguì gli anni '70
