Emmanuel's surrealist portraits of contemporary Black figures are classic compositions with vibrant colors, expressive strokes, and textured shades. The artist believes that life's beauty rooted in the soul is watered by the spirit; this makes his work's creation procedures a meditative practice in which he explores the human condition in all its colorful arrays. According to Adewumi, "Knowledge about one's worth influences frequency of altitude and attitude a human possesses which can shape narratives regardless of time, like a living piece of art", so the artist sees painting as the true expression of the artist's soul on the canvas.
