Founded in 2007 as EE Fine Art in Cambridge, Stephenson’s Gallery embarked on a new chapter in 2024, relocating to a prestigious, two-floor space in historic York city centre. The gallery operates as a unique cultural hub, specialising in a compelling cultural exchange between dynamic contemporary Northern Art and diverse Eastern European art, ranging from academic figurative to abstract and surrealist masterpieces.
The collection features highly acclaimed artists, many of whom hold institutional recognition, including members of the UK Royal Societies (RP, ROI, PS), Royal Academy exhibitors, and winners of major national prizes. Curating a high-frequency programme of thematic group exhibitions, the gallery explores diverse genres from urban art and still life to sculpture and ceramics. Led by Mark and Louise Stephenson, the team provides personalised guidance, comprehensive services, including shipping and commissions , and financial accessibility through the Own Art scheme, connecting art enthusiasts with exceptional, inspiring pieces.
