Welcome to the second Little Bird Artist Residency exhibition under the Made in Leshten 2023 project!

After the successful and inspiring two editions of the Little Bird Artist Residency, the Little Bird Place Gallery and the contemporary art and culture platform Art and Culture Today continued the initiative and gave 10 young Bulgarian contemporary artists the opportunity to create in the residency located in an authentic old house in the village of Leshten, in the period June-July 2023.
The ten artists selected to participate in the “MADE IN LESHTEN 2023” residency program at the LITTLE BIRD ARTIST RESIDENCY in the village of Leshten are:

Iva Ivanova,
Yordan Velkov,
Kalin Mihov,
Mirela Karadzhova,
Sibila Kerelezova,
Silvana Ilieva,
Stefka Benisheva,
Hristiyana Yordanova,
Yana Vasileva – Poppy .
All of them explored the themes of nature, biological world and ecology through different contemporary visual media.
Curators and consultants during the residency and the final exhibitions are art historians Teodora Konstantinova and Radoslav Mehandzhiyski from Art & Culture Today (Art and Culture Today / Contemporary Art and Culture).
