Presentation
From October 09, Jo Di Bona invests the gallery for his new exhibition #PopIsNotDead! This exhibition will be part of the Paris Artistes program for its second edition. A work will also be exhibited in the halls and gardens of the Town Hall from the 9th arrondissement from 06 to 12 October 2015. Born in the 93, Jo Di Bona has made his artistic skills on walls and trains alongside Nestor & Lek, from the early 90s with their VF team. A fervent follower of graffiti and its codes, Jo will gradually move away from it and create what he will later call "Pop Graffiti", where he will mix collages, the various influences of Graffiti, but also the Pop culture of which he is deeply imbued. After ten years of illegal graffiti until the early 2000s, Jo will take a pictorial break to devote himself to music and his pop-rock group Hotel, with which he will travel across France and release 4 albums. It was only in 2012 that Jo took out her aerosols again and followed exhibitions, wall projects and performances as far as China, in Shanghai, between exhibitions and live demonstrations… Jo ended the year 2014 by receiving the 1st Graffiti Prize in the EDF foundation. He also made a commission for Bernadette Chirac as part of the launch of Operation Yellow Pieces 2015, a large wall in the brand new hall of the Robert Ballanger Hospital in Aulnay-sous-Bois and exhibited at the Lavo Matik gallery as well as 'at the Saint-Denis library. Recently he produced a large fresco for the Rock en Seine Festival, Saint-Cloud. Jo participates in the book "Le Street-Art et Charlie" with a double page for the "Charlie" tribute wall made at Frigos, Paris. It is on the cover of the month of October of the cult magazine Paris Tonkar.
